The Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazzau, on Wednesday disclosed that the Economic Community of West African States would hold a conference from April 26 to 29 on the incessant farmers/herdsmen clashes that have left many dead.

Danbazau told State House correspondents that President Muhammadu Buhari would declare the conference open.

The minister said the conference was part of efforts by the ECOWAS and some other African countries towards finding permanent solutions to the persistent farmers-herdsmen clashes.

He said the conference would also attract participants from the Central African Republic, Chad, Cameroon, Morocco and Mauritania. PUNCH
