Senator representing Plateau North in the National Assembly, Jonah David Jang has said that no one can take the land and other abundant resources from the people  of Plateau state no matter how murderous they become.

Senator Jang who was reacting to the killing of former Head of Service, Moses Gwom and three others in Barki Ladi Local Government Area by suspected herdsmen on Tuesday night described the land, weather, water and other resources that abound in  Plateau as gifts from God to the people.

In a terse statement titled “one killing too many’’ which he issued on Wednesday, the former Governor said the fresh killing of the former Head of Service and two others including a soldier  by the merchants of evil who derive joy and happiness from bloodshed and human suffering, deserve the condemnation of all lovers of peaceful coexistence.

According to him, there is no peace to celebrate when innocent people are killed indiscriminately and chased away from their ancestral lands and homes.

While sympathizing with the people, Jang called on the Governor of Plateau to do more in the area of security, in order to safeguard the lives and properties of all people who live in the State.

He also appealed to the people in Plateau North Senatorial District and Plateau State in general to exercise calm and restraint, and allow security forces to unravel the sponsors and perpetrators of the dastardly act expressing the hope that the perpetrators would not escape justice this time.
